  1. I started investing as a college student by automatically investing $50 each month to a mutual fund, so you can definitely start with little. Even the education piece doesn’t have to cost anything but your time — blogs, library books, sharing magazine subscriptions among family and friends to bring that cost close to zero. I always use free or low-cost resources first and only step up when I have exhausted these. In terms of investments, two-figure investments have grown over time to five- and six-figure investments thanks to compounding, career management and business hustles.
